Historical Overview of a Controversial Decision and its Implications for the Eurozone and the Future of the European Union
This paper examines the consequences and implications of the decision of the BVerfG of 5 May 2020 not only regarding EU law, but also regarding the sustainability of the Eurozone. It explores the implications of this decision at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic and how it might be an early-onset of the collapse of the Euro. Likewise, it examines the consequences that the collapse of the Euro would have for Germany.
