Preface

With this volume, Bocconi Legal Papers has reached its eighth publication. Until 2008, when BLP was created by a group of students of Bocconi University, the idea of a law review managed and edited by students was practically unknown in the Italian legal community. Overseas, instead, law reviews could be found in all prestigious universities and, indeed, since the establishment of the very first law schools, law journals have played a fundamental role in the legal debate. Despite even today, at times, we may encounter some scepticism as regard to the fact of being a project quasi-entirely run by students, I am proud to say that any prejudice is immediately wiped out at the sight of the hard work and interminable motivation of all the members of the Editorial Board, and we receive more and more valuable contributions and support from Italian and foreign academics.

I took part in this unique project three years ago and I never stopped being fascinated by the outstanding perseverance and passion for legal disciplines, which characterize this group of students. During the last few years many aspects of the editing process and of the internal organization of the Board were enhanced, but to further improve it is essential to continue questioning our schemes and ideas and, perhaps, to embark on new adventures.

This project would not have been possible without Bocconi University and its Professors, who strongly believed in our ideas and who, daily, offer their irreplaceable support and expertise. We are deeply grateful also to the Authors, whose precious contributions have enriched the legal debate and our knowledge.

Last but not least, I would like to express my gratitude to all the members of the Editorial Board, whose motivation continuously inspires me: your hard work has been quintessential for the conclusion of this volume. A special thanks goes to the Supervising Editor and the Vice Editor-in-Chief, who brilliantly manage the editing process and the Board.
